Hoobuy Extra QC Photos: Angles and Measurement Requests
Request an extra QC photo only when it can resolve a specific uncertainty. More images of the same view do not necessarily make a warehouse decision easier.
In this guide
Define the decision before requesting a photo
Write one sentence describing the concern: the print may be off-centre, a seam may be open, the garment width is unknown, or an accessory may be missing. Then state what a satisfactory image would show. This makes the request easier to fulfil and easier to evaluate.
Separate a visible problem from a missing view. If the order record says blue and the received label clearly identifies another variant, preserve that evidence and ask about a remedy. Another decorative overview may add nothing to the decision.
Specify the angle and reference points
For print alignment, ask for the item laid flat, without stretched fabric, photographed straight-on with the full outline visible. For stitching, request both a close view of the suspect area and enough surrounding material to locate it.
For width or length, name both measurement endpoints. Ask for the ruler's zero and the endpoint to be visible in the same frame. For a missing accessory, request the full set of contents laid out together, rather than a close-up of the main item.
Use a concise request template
“Order [number], variant [size/colour]. Please photograph [specific area] from [angle]. Include [ruler/endpoints/full outline]. I need to determine [one question] before deciding whether to ship or request a remedy. Please confirm any charge before proceeding.”
Remove any instruction that does not help answer the question. Keep personal or payment information out of public examples. Confirm the current extra-photo service, cost and available measurements in your own account; this guide does not advertise a fixed fee or free allowance.
Read the new image against the original concern
Compare the same landmarks in the old and new views. A flat photograph may resolve a perspective illusion; a close-up may instead show that an apparent mark was a shadow. Save both versions and describe what changed in the evidence.
A photograph cannot reliably prove fibre composition, waterproofing, long-term strength or an exact colour on every screen. If the required property cannot be demonstrated visually, ask whether another form of evidence is available rather than treating a sharp image as proof.
Stop once the next action is clear
Mark the issue as resolved, still uncertain or a confirmed mismatch. For a resolved concern, continue to parcel review. For a confirmed mismatch, check the current return or exchange process and preserve the listing, selected variant and relevant photos.
If the answer remains uncertain, weigh the importance of the issue and any applicable deadline before ordering another view. Do not allow a sequence of repetitive photo requests to consume a return window. Keep the decision and its supporting image in your tracker.
